Girl, you were breaking my heart taking off those little squares. The bigger cut-aparts look great, but I think the little ones would have been just as nice if you had added a little wonky banner flag at the top of the tall, purple rectangle pieces or lined up three of those little flowers down the side of the upper left hand side of the rectangle. Of course, they turned out great the way you did it, but SO MUCH WORK! I'm so lazy, lol!

OK..they looked nice the first time around BUT, making 1 small change really made them rock. Love the new idea.

Not awful cards! Great idea for a quick design. I think you need to add a few embellishments. Years ago a friend told me that her husband told her every card she makes should have a little sparkle. When I think my card turns out bland, I pull out the gems, epoxy dots or sequins and add some sparkle. It’s amazing what a little bling can do for your design. Even a ribbon with a little sparkle makes a big difference.

We are our own worst critics. The large purple strip is drawing a lot of attention. Now that there done add balloons or a small ribbon 🎀 🤔

So there's something to be said for making cards using the supplies on hand... that's what this is. I have made these type of cards and although they're not my favorite, they have their purpose. I give these cards to teachers so they always have cards on hand for whomever. They are what they are... a way to make someone smile... and that makes them perfect. Have a lovely day.

Not a fan of the orange paper with the numbers. I agree with other commenterss that some bling would be nice.

Have you tried Miss Kate Cuttables... I subscribe to her kit... they are great and have several options for kits size. I would love to see what you do with a kit and and templates.. I use Jess Crafts templates when I use kits, they help me use up my kits and I end up with so many cards to give away.

I would of used the blue instead of the purple and that orange paper with the numbers does not look good

I agree with the others....the purple strip is too wide and plain. I like to make the 2 strips with coordinating prints, and use the solid for either the base or matting. I too think the little square is too small....you could embellish the cards with some lace along the edge of the purple strip, or add a row of gems up the side. Add maybe a flower cluster at the top, or some little flowers around the square center. All in all, not bad, just a little under embellished! I would definitely keep them and add a few things!!

For me, I would have embossed the purple strip of paper, to add texture... They look good, but the purple is the first thing that draws my eye and it kinds of just steals the show. I tend to use solid colors for mats, embossing or to ground my image.

I love them. I think you are being too hard on yourself. But, from 1 cardmaker to another, the only thing I would have done was to either have a small pattern on the lavender paper...I just think there is too much open space OR add some enamel dots or crystals to the lavender paper to add something. But great designs. Love them.

I probably would have shifted the focal point layer and made the strips different widths to add more interest and don’t forget you haven’t embellished these yet and that would give you the opportunity to balance your elements differently 😊. And I don't know how you did it or if it was jjst KISMET- BUT one of the times you peeled the backing off the foam tape it matched the strum of the guitar perfectly. I love the Americana background music
